Join our R&D Single Serve category in our Tassimo & Senseo team where diverse minds unite to learn and thrive. As an R&D development specialist, you dive into developing the next great coffee innovations, understanding and delivering towards consumer’s need by using your passion for food and creating the coffee products and experiences through using your knowledge of food ingredients, processes and technologies, flexing your expertise and people skills to drive success.

Own your impact in our value chain with these key tasks.

  • R&D lead of small to medium sized complex projects and roll-outs, represents R&D in cross-functional project teams
  • R&D workstream lead in big sized complex projects
  • Hands-on product development, from benchtop to scale up and market launch in accordance with the product brief matching both quality and cost expectations on time
  • Product specification management: creation and maintenance
  • Reporting work and findings in formal project and technical reports

Qualifications

We are looking for a talented, passionate entrepreneur that want to make a difference within sustainability for our Global R&D team based in Utrecht.

We can give you a list of “must haves”, however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with product and process development and design, but ultimately we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • A degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Technology or and engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical)
  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Looking to make an impact within sustainability and nutrition for a dynamic international business
  • Eager to learn and develop yourself within the Global R&D Team
  • Some travelling abroad can be required across JDE internal & external manufacturing sites and suppliers
